This post is a brief overview of the different ways you can compost. I do not go into the whole process of composting, that is a video/post for a later date. For now, enjoy learning about different ways you can compost dependent on your area!
Composting can be introduced at any time throughout your zero-waste process. There are numerous ways to compost, depending on where you are located. Composting is a great way you can reduce your waste, without changing too much of your lifestyle.
First off, what is composting?
A decomposing process of taking organic matter and turning it into the soil to grow more plants!
THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF COMPOSTING
Great for families that don’t have a backyard setup.
This can be done in a cabinet in the house or under the sink, in the basement, where-ever!
With proper ventilation, you won’t smell a thing.

Just because the method is called backyard composting, doesn’t mean it has to be in the backyard.
It can be set up on the side of your home or in the front.

DROP OFF / PICK UP COMPOSTING
You collect the compostable products in a 5-gallon bucket (typically) and drop it off yourself or pay for a company to do it for you.
No compost set up needed!
